  In the category of local discount department stores, Dollar Tree rates four out of five stars. It's a true department store selling both dry and canned food goods, housewares, personal care items, cleaning supplies, craft and hobby items and more. All for a dollar. If you know your prices of the things that you purchase most you can find good deals here when compared to other discounters. On the negative side, the store often seems in disarray and dirty and is probably in need of a face-lift. Customer service is as expected.
